My career, although young, took root in childhood—I've been creating stories since the age of three. Now I am blessed to be able to call this my job. I take pride in telling stories that help young people understand the world around them and work through difficult life circumstances. As for my illustrations, I love realism with a touch of whimsy. As for myself, I am a 20-something living near Chicago. I love hunkering down in coffee shops, buying more books than I'll ever realistically read, and traveling with my sisters. I also like to learn languages and play the baritone ukulele. It's a good life.
